Mini Israel
See it ALL ..... SMALL
A must for every visitor to Israel; Mini Israel miniature city is Israel's newest and most exciting tourist attraction.
Featuring over 350 beautifully crafted exact-replica models of historical ,religious, archeological and modern sites, Mini Israel presents you with a one of a kind introduction to Israel, all in one magical site.
Mini Israel is a vision come true. We wanted to create a unique platform that will express everything beautiful, good, important and special that we have in this wonderful country of ours. We aspired to create a kind of living "picture album" that will reflect the reality of life in this small strip of land.
The team that created the park included over 100 people from all segments of Israel's population, many of them new immigrants. They made great efforts to create and build a "world class" site, and we are very proud of the results. The Entrepreneurs invested untold hours of creative thinking and brainstorming in an attempt to find solutions to questions and problems that arose with respect to the selection of models.
The most difficult part of the process was deciding what not to do. Israel is influenced by so many cultures, lifestyles, and holy places. Naturally, we could not show the entire country. We wanted to give expression to the diverse population of our country, including every community and faith, together with the buildings that serve them.
Each of the buildings and natural sites we selected has an amazing story and is part of a long history, from 100 BCE to the present. Some of the planned models will only be built in the future. Together, these models create the complex of stories that is Israel throughout the generations.
It was important to us that Mini Israel be a place that all visitors can come and find themselves. It was built for everyone in the widest possible sense of the word, children and parents, students and soldiers, new immigrants and veteran Israelis, tourists, pilgrims, seniors, the handicapped, business people, official guests of Israel and other VIP delegations. We tried to emphasize the essence of life at every site by including tens of thousands of "citizens" (figures) and hundreds of thousands of accessories that complete the picture.
A miniature city cannot be built without a dramatic encounter between vision and financing. Two groups of investors, among the leaders in Israel, Granite HaCarmel and Secom and Or Yam of the Shikun Ubinui Group, harnessed themselves to the task, in spite of all the difficulties and obstacles, which were numerous. The substantial financing for construction coupled with both the determination and perseverance that was invested in the establishment of the project demonstrated a wide-ranging view, motivated by a set of values that goes beyond mere economic considerations, especially during a period when tourism was at an all-time low.
Special appreciation goes to the members of Kibbutz Nachshon, on whose land Mini Israel was built, and to the staff of the Ministry of Tourism, who supported and assisted us all along the way. Beyond all, Mini Israel is a place of love, love of the land and all that Israel represents. The Mini Israel team, including model-builders and technicians, engineers, consultants, planners, artists, builders, researchers, office staff, management and steering partners, invested not only considerable work, but also endless love.
To you, our visitors, we extend the hope that some of the love that was invested here will stay with you long after you leave our gates.
